Ramblin’ On. So close to 25 lbs lost…
This is how our bodies work. Just a few hours later, and this happens (mind you, this is after eating two meals and drinking 2 bottles of water after my last weigh-in)
One of the down sides of doing daily weigh-ins is that this happens sometimes. I gained 0.2 lbs back.
Despite adhering strictly to your eating plan, small plateaus and scale setbacks can occur, and daily weigh-ins are more likely to show them. Often it’s water weight, sometimes it’s just the body rebelling against a new paradigm.
What I’ve found in the past is that these days sometimes precede a big drop, or NSV (non-scale victories) tend to occur on these days, as the body seems to be “rearranging” itself. Of course, there are also times that this is just the way it goes, and it can last a few days.
The important thing is to not get discouraged. Your body wants to maintain the status quo. Keep fighting the battle, don’t give up, stick to the plan, and it’ll be alright. It’s about overall progress over time, not instant gratification.
Still getting used to this app, so the categorization of each meal is off, but the count is accurate.
No weigh in yesterday, as I was busy dealing with car issues. Still on track though.
I’m still not satisfied with the calorie counting apps I’ve tried. So far, they have been too “busy” and not specific enough, or too much of their functionality is hidden behind a pay wall. I’m going to be looking for an alternative. For now, here is Saturday’s calorie breakdown.
Welcome back to arokk.net. After a failure of the script I was using that I couldn’t seem to figure out, I did a complete reinstall…but forgot to do a backup, so…d’oh…
But, here it is, reinstalled and rebranded as Arokkian Nightmare, a name that I have tinkered around with on Facebook, WordPress.com, and other places over the years. Same location, different title.
I’ll be resuming my updates from here, although I do like the graphical nature of Instagram. I just really want there to be an open source/privacy aware alternative functional equivalent. I’ll have to work on that.
