Day 14 Weigh-In

One of the down sides of doing daily weigh-ins is that this happens sometimes. I gained 0.2 lbs back.

Despite adhering strictly to your eating plan, small plateaus and scale setbacks can occur, and daily weigh-ins are more likely to show them. Often it’s water weight, sometimes it’s just the body rebelling against a new paradigm.

What I’ve found in the past is that these days sometimes precede a big drop, or NSV (non-scale victories) tend to occur on these days, as the body seems to be “rearranging” itself. Of course, there are also times that this is just the way it goes, and it can last a few days.

The important thing is to not get discouraged. Your body wants to maintain the status quo. Keep fighting the battle, don’t give up, stick to the plan, and it’ll be alright. It’s about overall progress over time, not instant gratification.
